Hi Folks, John Paul Monroe here. You know me as a singer of popular songs who travels throughout America. I'm the fellow who shoots videos of acoustic performances of music in beautiful places. I aim to tell you some things about me that you probably don't know.

The domain name of this site is johnpaulandbertha.org. Perhaps you're wondering "Who's Bertha?" Bertha (aka "Be") is my wife since 5/29/1982. Suddenly on 10/6/2017 my dear wife died while in our home. Don't be sad. Bertha is still with me...very much so...so much so that what you see as my performance of songs is our performance. The ring is still on. Our marriage is forever.

Bertha and I hear we are not alone. We are accompanied by 19 tremendous women of the dead. These are as follows (arranged by date of death):

These women are "my girls". To honor them we 21 call our musical group PLEA for Pleiades the star cluster known as the Seven Sisters.

We consider ourselves to be a Family of 21.

We aim to do great things for mankind.

In the summer of 2022 we toured America to film performances of the 48 songs we play. Each was shot at a beautiful site. These are peaceful videos.

With the innocence and optimism of a child we've established a website Ten Words to Change the World to popularize this statement:

Engender peace within the heart
of each soul you encounter

We receive this as a Commandment from God.

In recent times much knowledge has come to us. We shall be sharing this gradually. See: 921 Things to Consider (a work in progress).

P.S. We've been on the road for 6 years. We travel in my 2008 Mazda which is our home. We stay at interstate rest areas and waysides. Our total expenses are $35 per day. We sing outdoors for tips; we've done this hundreds of times. We've done many shows at mom‑and‑pop ice cream stands.
