Composers on Mathematical Music
Subtext 3928541

There are scores of mathematical geniuses who can square and cube in their minds. There are scores of chess players who play blindfolded, and every chess player has to work out in his mind the possibilities of the next five moves. There must not be many who can exceed ten moves, but only to them should one compare the imaginative capacity of a real musical mind.
