IWBNI there were a menu item Window>Character Map that would display a character map dialog box that were based upon the current Symbol Selection dialog box. The dialog could have a Set Font button. Also, there could be a list of fonts that are distributed with Finale (e.g. Engraver, Jazz, Maestro, Petrucci, Seville and Tamburo) from which one could select.

As it is now, character maps are provided in the on-line documentation and are accessible through the menu item Help>On-line Documentation. A Character Map dialog box that is based upon the current Symbol Selection dialog box would have the advantage of being quicker to access and navigate.
