IWBNI it were possible to download a Finale upgrade. As it is now, updates may be downloaded, but upgrades may not be downloaded. Instead, an upgrade is distributed to an existing user by sending a CD-ROM via snail mail.

Here, update means a release that is a minor change to an existing version that may be applied to an existing installation of Finale. An upgrade is a new release of the entire Finale product which is sold to an owner of a previously released version of Finale.
