An Option to Show Layer Colors on Layer Buttons
IWBNI there were an option to specify that the numbers 1 through 4 on the layer buttons that are located at the bottom of the document window should be shown in the colors that have been selected on the Select Display Colors dialog box for Layer 1 through Layer 4.
As it is now, the numbers on the layer buttons are black as shown in the following figure:
This could be implemented by adding a checkbox called Colorize Layer Buttons to the Select Display Colors dialog box. If this option is not selected, buttons would be black as in the current version of Finale. Otherwise, layer-button numbers would be colored. For example, if the colors black, red, green and blue have been selected for Layer 1 through Layer 4, respectively, on the Select Display Colors dialog box, then the numbers on the layer buttons would be colored as shown in the following figure:
