Allow Bank-Select Patches to be Specified in the File Instrument.txt
IWBNI it were possible to specify patches that involve the use of bank selection in the file instrument.txt. Notes: The file instrument.txt is used by the Document Setup Wizard to create instruments for a new document. As it is now, simple program changes that do not involve bank selection may be specified for a given instrument by using the Patch field in the INS record for the instrument.
This could be implemented by allowing one to use any of the following
formats to specify the value of the Patch field in an INS
record:
Patch Field Data Formats | ||
Program Change Type | Data Format | Example |
Program Change | i | Patch = 75 |
Bank Select 0,
Bank Select 32, Program Change |
bbp i j k | Patch = bbp 2 8 108 |
Bank Select 0,
Program Change |
b0p i j | Patch = b0p 8 116 |
Bank Select 32,
Program Change |
b32p i j | Patch = b32p 6 85 |
Program Change,
Program Change |
pp i j | Patch = pp 3 94 |
Note: The program change types listed here are the same as those in the Patch list box on the Instrument Definition dialog box.
