Add a Menu Item Called Keyboard Equivalents for Tools to the Options Menu

IWBNI there were a menu item called Keyboard Equivalents for Tools that could be used to program function-key equivalents for tools. As it is now, a given function key may be assigned to a given tool by selecting the tool and then pressing shift and the function key.

This could be implemented by adding a menu item called Keyboard Equivalents for Tools to the Options menu. This menu item would display a new dialog box called Keyboard Equivalents for Tools that could contain the following controls:

-------------------------------------------------
Keyboard Equivalents for Tools Dialog Box

Tool Function Key
Articulation 3
Expression 5
Smart Shape 6
Tuplet 2
.

.
.
.
.
Measure 7

-------------------------------------------------

The existing keyboard shortcut for assigning a function key to a tool would continue to be available. The new menu item would be provided as an alternative mechanism. The menu item would serve to document this feature of Finale on the interface itself and would provide a simple mechanism for new users who are unaware of the shortcut.
