Move Auto-Save Controls to an Auto-Save Options Dialog Box
IWBNI all controls on the Program Options dialog box were moved to a new dialog box called Auto-Save Options.
This feature would serve to document the way in which directories are used by the auto-save function. As it is now, one must read the on-line documentation to learn that the auto-save function automatically places files in the directory specified in the Music text box on the Program Options dialog box in the case when no directory is specified in the Auto Save text box.
This could be implemented by replacing the Auto Save Files checkbox on the Program Options dialog box with a button called Auto Save. This button would display a new dialog box called Auto-Save Options that could contain the following controls:
-----------------------------------------------
Auto-Save Options Dialog Box
[ ] Auto Save File(s) Every _____ Minutes
Save Files in Directory:
( ) Auto-Save Directory: _____
( ) Music Directory: e:\music\finale
-----------------------------------------------
If the radio button Auto Save Directory is selected, files would be stored in the specified directory. If the radio button Music Directory is selected, files would be stored in the Music Directory. The Music Directory would be specified by using the Music text box on the Program Options dialog box as in the current version of Finale.
Also, the following text boxes could be removed from the Program Options dialog box: the Every N Minutes text box and the Auto Save text box in the Folders section.
