IWBNI there were an option to specify that only layer colors should be displayed.

This feature would allow one to use colors for the limited purpose of indicating which layer is currently active.

This could be implemented by replacing the existing checkbox Use Colors on the Select Display Colors dialog box with the following controls:

( ) Use Layer Colors Only
( ) Use No Colors

If the radio button Use All Colors is selected, all colors would be used in the same way that colors are used when the option Use Colors is selected in the current version of Finale.

If the radio button Use No Colors is selected, no colors would be used in the same way that colors are not used when the option Use Colors is not selected in the current version of Finale.

If the radio button Use Layer Colors Only is selected, only colors for Layer 1 through Layer 4 would be used. Note: In this case, if the checkbox Layer Colors Apply to All Layer Items is also selected, all layer items would be displayed using layer colors.
