IWBNI there were an option to specify that practical page turns should be found automatically when extracting parts or updating the layout. As it is now, practical page turns may be found manually and measures may be moved accordingly from one staff to another by using the mass mover tool.

This could be implemented by adding a checkbox option called Find Practical Page Turns to the Music Layout section of the Extract Parts dialog box, and to the Update Layout Options dialog box. If this option is not selected, practical page turns would not be found automatically as in the current version of Finale. If this option is selected, practical page turns would be found automatically.

Also, a menu item called Page Turns could be added to the Options>Document Settings submenu. This menu item would display a new dialog box called Page Turn Options that could contain the following controls:
