A Beaming Option to Break All Secondary Beams Before and After a Tuplet
IWBNI there were a beaming option that could be used to specify that all secondary beams that precede the first note of a tuplet or follow the last note of a tuplet should be broken automatically. As it is now, such secondary beams may be broken manually for a given tuplet by using the secondary beam break tool and selecting Break Through and Beam Durations 16th on the Secondary Beam Break Selection dialog box for the first note of the tuplet and for the note that follows the last note of the tuplet.
For example, as it is now, a beam group that consists of an eighth note followed by a sixteenth note followed by two tuplets of 5 sixteenths in the time of 4 sixteenths followed by a sixteenth rest would be beamed in the following way:
Some would prefer to have the secondary beams broken before and after these tuplets as shown in the following figure:
This could be implemented by adding a checkbox box called Break Secondary Beams Before and After Tuplets to the Beaming Options dialog box.
