IWBNI there were a checkbox option on the Measure Attributes dialog box to specify that for a given measure, in the case when the measure occurs at the beginning of a system, full staff names should be displayed in all staves, instead of abbreviated staff names.

As it is now, full staff names are displayed for the first measure of a piece and abbreviated staff names are displayed for all other measures. To have full staff names displayed on measures other than the first, one may create a staff style for each staff where the Abbr. Staff Name control is set to the full staff name.

This feature would provide a simple mechanism for displaying full staff names on selected measures and would be useful, for example, when a document contains more than one movement.

This could be implemented by adding a checkbox called Show Full Staff Names to the Options section of the Measure Attributes dialog box. If this option is not checked for a given measure, staff names would be displayed as in the current version of Finale. Otherwise, full staff names would be displayed for all staves of the measure.
