IWBNI it were possible to select a set of regions with any tool for which a region may be selected.

This could be implemented by allowing one to press the Ctrl key while drag-selecting a region after one or more regions have been selected. For an example of a program that has this style of interface, see Microsoft Excel and the mechanism for selecting multiple rectangles of cells.

Also, buttons called Next Region and Previous Region could be added to the Select Region dialog box which may be displayed by selecting the menu item Edit>Select Region. With these buttons, one could specify a set of regions that are to be selected.

Note: A region may be selected with the following tools: staff, time signature, MIDI, measure, mass mover and key signature.
