Keyboard Shortcuts to Jump to the Previous and Next Staff Set

IWBNI there were keyboard shortcuts that could be used in scroll view to jump to the previous or next staff set that has been programmed. As it is now, the previous or next staff set may be selected by using the submenu View>Select Staff Set.

When editing a score in scroll view, the score can be divided into small groups of staves or single staves where each group of staves or staff is assigned to a staff set. This improves performance because it reduces the amount of material that must be displayed when the screen is repainted and it eliminates unnecessary information that could be a distraction. Each staff set can be edited for the entire length of the score before moving on to the next staff set. For example, this approach works well for assigning and positioning articulations. This feature would simplify the task of advancing to the next staff set after all edits of a given type have been made to a given staff set.

This could be implemented by allowing one to use the keys Ctrl+PgUp and Ctrl+PgDn in scroll view to jump to the previous and next staff sets, respectively. For example, if the staff sets 1, 4 and 7 have been programmed and the current staff set is number 4, then staff set 1 (7) could be selected by pressing Ctrl+PgUp (Ctrl+PgDn).

Note: In page view, the keys Ctrl+PgUp and Ctrl+PgDn would be used to jump to the previous and next pages, respectively, as in the current version of Finale.
