When the mouse is moved over the top half of the MIDI split screen, a horizontal dashed line is superimposed over the scale that appears at the left side of the screen. IWBNI a vertical dashed line were displayed over the selected staff in the bottom half of the split screen to indicate the beat position of the mouse.

Such a dashed line could cut through the selected staff and extend slightly above and below the staff or it could just extend through the entire bottom half of the MIDI split screen.

This would be helpful when creating or editing continuous data such as pitch bends.
