IWBNI it were possible to specify that some tuplets ratios (e.g. 7:6 or 5:6) should always be displayed as a ratio (rather than a number) while other tuplet ratios (e.g. 3:2 or 5:4) should always be displayed as a number (rather than a ratio).

This could be implemented by adding a menu item called Tuplets to the Options>Document Settings submenu. This menu item would display a new dialog box called Tuplet Options that could contain the following controls:
