An Option to Store an Imported Graphics File within a Finale Document
IWBNI there were an option to specify that a given graphics file that has been imported into a given Finale document should be stored within the document when the document is saved.
This feature would be useful when a Finale document and all associated graphics files must be sent to another user.
This could be implemented by adding a menu item called Source to the Graphics menu. This menu item would display a new dialog box called Graphics Source that could contain the following controls:
------------------------------------------------
Graphics Source Dialog Box
ID Number | Graphic | Source | |
Finale Document | Separate File | ||
1 | ![]() |
X | |
2 | ![]() |
X | |
3 | ![]() |
X |
[All Finale Document] [All Separate File]
------------------------------------------------
If the column Separate File is selected for a given graphic, the graphic would be stored in a separate file as in the current version of Finale. If the column Finale Document is selected, the graphic would be saved within the document file. The buttons All Finale Document and All Separate File could be used to automatically select the column Finale Document or Separate File for all graphics.
