IWBNI there were a menu item to modify the view to fit the current system into the document window.

This could be implemented by adding a menu item called Fit System in Window to the View>Scale View to submenu. This menu item would cause the view position and percentage to be modified so that all objects that are associated with the current system would become visible at the largest view percentage at which this would be possible. The new view would show the full extent of all staves within the current system, all notes within the current system including extreme notes that require ledger lines, and all objects (e.g. expressions, articulations, smart shapes and chords) that are attached to measures or notes of the current system.

The current system would be that which is being displayed closest to the top left corner of the document window. The distance from the top left corner of the document window to a given system would be equal to the distance from top left corner of the document window to the point on a staff line within the system that is closest to the top left corner.
