IWBNI there were a shortcut that could be used to begin playback from the first measure of the current page in page view.

This could be implemented by beginning playback from the first measure of the current page when one clicks a point within some special region on the page while holding the spacebar down. The special region could be identical to that which is used to display the Resize Page dialog box when the resize tool is selected.

When the resize tool is selected, a page in page view may be thought of as being composed of the following types of horizontal bands that extend over the entire width of the display:

• Staff Band: There is a staff band for each staff. For a given staff, the top (bottom) of the staff band is 1/2 staff space above (below) the staff.

 
• System Band: Within a given staff system, there are bands that lies between the bands associated with two adjacent staves of the system.

 
• Page Band: A band that is not a staff band or system band.

• The Resize Staff dialog box is displayed by clicking a staff band.

 
• The Resize Staff System dialog box is displayed by clicking a system band.

 
• The Resize Page dialog box is displayed by clicking a page band.
