Allow Expressions and Articulations to be Selected by Using ID Numbers
IWBNI it were possible to select (high-light) a given expression (or articulation) on the Expression Selection (or Articulation Selection) dialog box by entering the ID number for the expression (or articulation). Note: The ID number of a given expression or articulation is displayed on the selection list box in the upper left corner of the cell that contains the expression or articulation.
This could be implemented by allowing one to select (high-light) a given expression on the Expression Selection dialog box by typing the ID number of the expression followed by Enter. A similar interface could be provided on the Articulation Selection dialog box. For example, to attach expression number 98 to a given note, one could: select the expression tool, double-click the note, and press the keys 9, 8, Enter, and Enter. The first Enter would cause expression 98 to become high-lighted. The second Enter would cause the default button Select to be pressed.
Also, a text box called ID Number could be added to the Expression Selection and Articulation Selection dialog boxes. The character 'I' in the label for this control could be underlined so that on the Windows platform, it could be selected by pressing Alt+I.
