IWBNI there were an option to specify that all handles should be displayed for the special tool that is currently selected. As it is now, all handles within a given measure of a staff are displayed when a measure is clicked.

This could be implemented by replacing the menu item Show Handles on the SpecialTools menu with a submenu called Show Handles which could contain the following menu items:

Any one of these menu items could be checked in the same way that items on the View>Select Layers submenu may be checked. The menu item None would be selected to obtain the behavior as in the current version of Finale when the existing menu item SpecialTools>Show Handles is not selected. That is, handles would not be displayed for any items. The menu item Measure would be selected to obtain the behavior as in the current version of Finale when the existing menu item SpecialTools>Show Handles is selected. That is, handles would be displayed within a measure of a staff that is clicked. When the menu item Staff is selected, all handles within a staff would be displayed when a staff is clicked. In this case, handles in other staves would not be displayed. When the menu item All is selected, all handles would be displayed for the currently selected special tool at all times.
