Add a Accidental Shape Special Tool
IWBNI there were a accidental shape special tool that could be used to change the appearance of the accidental on a given note. As it is now, one may hide the actual accidental for a given note and attach an articulation that is an accidental.
This feature would be useful for changing a given accidental to an editorial accidental which might be indicated by an accidental that is enclosed in square brackets or an accidental that is smaller than normal.
The functionality of the accidental shape tool could be similar to that
of the note shape tool. When the accidental shape tool is selected, a handle
could appear next to each accidental. To change the
accidental on a given note, one could double-click the handle for the
accidental and select a desired symbol from the Symbol Selection
dialog box. Also, a context menu could be displayed when the handle of
an accidental note is right clicked. This menu could contain the items
Symbol
Selection and Edit Font that would display the Symbol Selection
and Font dialog boxes, respectively.
