Allow Long Processes to be Aborted Immediately
IWBNI it were possible to abort long processes immediately. As it is now, there is no mechanism for aborting long processes in Finale on the Windows platform. On the Macintosh platform, some operations may be aborted by using Cmd-period. However, in many cases such operations (e.g. printing a large number of pages or redrawing large text blocks) are not aborted immediately.
Some examples of long processes are:
This could be implemented by allowing a keystroke to be pressed
(e.g. Cmd-period on the Macintosh platform and Esc or Ctrl+period on the
Windows platform) to abort any long processes.
