Show Slope of Selected Beam in Status Bar of Beam Angle Tool
IWBNI the slope of a selected beam were displayed in the status bar when the beam angle special tool is the current tool. Here, slope means the vertical distance between the ends of a beam.
As it is now, when one of the two handles of a given beam is selected, the status bar displays the following information:
Beam adjustment: (0,X)where X is the amount by which the selected handle has been displaced from its default position.
This feature could be implemented by including the slope in the status bar in the following way:
Beam adjustment: (0,X) Slope: Ywhere Y is the slope of the beam for which a handle has been selected. The units used for Y would be specified by the menu item Options>Measurement Units>EVPUs. For example, the status bar might display:
Beam adjustment: (0,6) Slope: 12to indicate that the slope of the selected beam is 12 EVPUs or equivalently 1/2 space.
