Add Control Points for Slope to All Smart Shapes
IWBNI it were possible to change the slope of any type of smart shape. As it is now, this may be done with smart shape slurs, dashed curves, crescendos, decrescendos, bends, glissandos, tab slides and custom lines but not for trills, trill extensions, 8va/8vb, 15ma/15mb, double-ended brackets, dashed double-ended brackets, brackets, dashed brackets, lines and dashed lines.
This could be implemented by adding a control point at the left and right ends of the bounding rectangle of all smart shapes as in crescendos and decrescendos. For smart shapes that contain font characters or hooks, the following controls could be added to the Smart Shape Options dialog box:
----------------------------------------------------
Smart Shape Options:
[ ] Rotate Text
[ ] Maintain Vertical Hooks
----------------------------------------------------
The Rotate Text checkbox could be selected to specify that font characters should be rotated as the slope of a smart shape is changed. The Maintain Vertical Hooks checkbox could be selected to specify that hooks of smart shapes should remain vertical as the slope of a horizontal segment is changed.
