IWBNI it were possible to specify the horizontal position of rests relative to stemlets (i.e. half-stems). As it is now, the horizontal position of rests is determined automatically so that rests are placed to the left of down stemlets and to the right of up stemlets as in the first figure shown below. The second figure shows an alternative way to position rests relative to stemlets.
