IWBNI it were possible to export a selection to a GIF file by using the graphics tool. As it is now, selections may be exported to an EPS or TIFF file and another program must be used to convert the result to a GIF file.

GIF files are one of the standard types of files used for web publishing. For a given musical example, the size of the GIF file will generally be 30 percent that of the equivalent TIFF file.

This could be implemented by adding the item GIF to the Type list box on the Export Selection and Export Pages dialog boxes. Also, the control label TIFF Resolution could be changed to TIFF/GIF Resolution.
