Changing the Notehead Font of a Given Note
IWBNI it were possible to change the font that is used for the notehead of a given note. As it is now, the default font for noteheads is specified on the Select Default Fonts dialog box. This default font may be changed for a given staff by using the Staff Attributes dialog box. Also, the notehead font for all notes in a given chord may be changed by applying a staff style.
With this feature one could, for example, use tone-cluster or let-ring noteheads from the Engraver font for selected notes in a chord for which the notehead font is Maestro.
This could be implemented by modifying the note-shape special tool. A context menu could be displayed when the handle of a note is right clicked. This menu could contain the items Symbol Selection and Edit Font that would display the Symbol Selection and Font dialog boxes, respectively. Also, Set Font buttons could be added to the Find and Change to section of the Change Noteheads dialog box.
