Layer Sets

IWBNI it were possible to program and view layer sets. Layer sets would be analogous to staff sets. A layer set would consists of some specified subset of the four available layers. When a given layer set is selected, all layers that are not in the set would be hidden. One of the layers in a layer set could be specified as the layer that is to be the active layer when the layer set is initially selected.

This could be implemented by adding an item called Layer Sets to the View menu that is similar to the existing View>Bookmarks item. Associated with the Layers Sets menu item, there could be a submenu with the items Add Layer Set and Edit Layer Sets. As with bookmarks, layer sets that have been created could also be shown on this submenu. The first item on the list of available layer sets could be a pre-defined set called All Layers that would be analogous to All Staves on the View>Select Staff Set submenu. There could be two new dialog boxes called Add Layer Sets and Edit Layer Sets. The Add Layer Sets dialog box could have the following controls:
