IWBNI it were possible to create a smart shape slur that has a point of inflection. Such S-shaped slurs are often used in piano scores to connect notes from different staves.

As it is now, one may create a curve that has a point of inflection by using the curve or slur tools in the Shape Designer dialog box or by using the tie special tool.
