IWBNI it were possible to specify that a given note-attached expression should be positioned at a given distance from the top or bottom of the staff. When this option is selected, the vertical position of the note-attached expression would be independent of the vertical position of the note to which it is attached. Specifically, if the note were transposed, the vertical position of the expression would remain unchanged.

This could be implemented by adding the items Top Staff Line and Bottom Staff Line to Distance from list box on the Note-attached Expression Assignment dialog box. If either of these items were selected the specified horizontal position would be relative to the note.
