Vertical Alignment of Articulations That Are Copied Vertically
IWBNI it were possible to specify how a given articulation for which
Copy
the Main Symbol is
checked on the Articulation Designer dialog box is to be aligned
vertically relative to the chord to which it is attached.
The following options could be added to the Articulation Designer dialog box:
-----------------------------
Vertical Alignment
( ) Center Vertically
( ) Align to Top Note
( ) Align to Bottom Note
-----------------------------
Selecting Center Vertically would cause an articulation to be vertically centered on the chord to which it is attached. Selecting Align to Top (Bottom) Note would cause the top (bottom) of an articulation to be aligned with the top (bottom) of the top (bottom) note of the chord to which it is attached.
With these options, one could specify how rolled-chord articulations are to be automatically vertically aligned with the chords to which they are attached.
As it is now, the bottom left corner of the lowest character of an articulation that is copied Vertically is initially set to the position in the score that was double-clicked in order to attach the articulation.
