IWBNI it were possible to create styles such as those available in word processing and desktop publishing applications that could be used to modify the properties of selected text in a given text block. For example, one could create a style called "Title Text" that would have the properties: Times, 18 point, bold, and centered.

Changing the properties of a given style would change all text to which the style has been applied.
