This piece was composed while creating a drawing with coloring pencils. First, a small part of the drawing was completed. Then a few bars of the piece were written. Then more was added to the drawing after which more musical bars were created. This process continued until the drawing and piece were completed. At each step, some attempt was made to musically represent the partial drawing. Drawing served as a useful distraction and as a catalyst for free expression in composition. The resulting drawing is shown below. A similar approach was taken for the piece 62259.
