Setting the Horizontal xor Vertical Position of Expressions Relative to the Default
IWBNI there were a utility that could be used to set the horizontal xor vertical (i.e. the horizontal or vertical, but not both) position of all expressions in a selected region to be at a specified location relative to the default position.
As it is now, the menu item Note-attached Expression Assignments on the MassEdit>Change submenu may be used to simultaneously set the horizontal and vertical position of all expressions in a selected region to be at some location relative to the default.
This could be implemented by adding items called Add to Default Horizontal Position and Add to Default Vertical Position to the list box on the Change Note-attached Expression Assignments dialog box that now contains the items Add to Default Position and Add to Current Position. If the item Add to Default Horizontal Position is selected, the V text box would be disabled. If the item Add to Default Vertical Position is selected, the H text box would be disabled. These items would perform the same function as the item Add to Default Position, except the item Add to Default Horizontal Position would not affect the vertical position and Add to Default Vertical Position would not affect the horizontal position.
For example, if the suggestion proposed here were implemented, one could select Add to Default Horizontal Position and set H to "-39 EVPUs" to set the horizontal position of all expressions in a selected region to be left of the default position by 39 EVPUs while maintaining the current vertical position of each expression.
