Go to a Measure that was in View when Switching from Page to Scroll View
IWBNI in all cases when one switches from page view to scroll view and there is at least a part of some measure visible in page view, the measure that is automatically set to the current measure in scroll view were a measure that was (at least partially) visible in page view.
As it is now, when one switches from page view to scroll view, the measure that is automatically set to the current measure in scroll view will be the lowest numbered measure that satisfies the following conditions: there is a staff in the system that contains the measure for which all five lines are visible, and for that staff, the left barline of the measure is visible. In the case when no measure satisfies these conditions, the current measure in scroll view is automatically set to measure 1. Note: The requirement that all staff lines be visible is weakened in some way when two staves are partially visible.
In most cases, this algorithm will automatically set the current measure in scroll view to a measure that was (at least partly) visible in page view. However, in the case where in page view, some or all staff lines of a staff are visible for a measure that is being displayed for which no barlines are visible (e.g. as shown in the following figure), the current measure in scroll view will be automatically set to measure 1.
Page View: A Measure that is Partially Visible with No Barlines Visible
Or, in the case where in page view, some staff lines of a staff are visible for a measure that is being displayed (e.g. as shown in the following figure), the current measure in scroll view will be automatically set to measure 1.
Page View: Measures that are Partially Visible with Not All Staff Lines Visible
The exceptional cases discussed here can occur when a long measure is being viewed or when a large view percentage has been selected.
