Allow Undo of Changes Made to a File in a Previous Editing Session

IWBNI it were possible to undo changes that have been made to a given file in a previous editing session. As it is now, when a given file is closed, the history of changes that have been made to the file is forgotten and it is not possible to undo such changes when the file is re-opened.

This feature would be useful, for example, when an application error occurs which causes Finale to terminate unexpectedly and one would like to undo changes that were made to a file before the error occurred. Also, this feature would allow one to undo catastrophic changes made in a previous editing session.

This could be implemented by adding a checkbox called Allow Undo Past File Close to the Undo section of the Other Program Options dialog box. With this option selected, the history of changes made to given a file would be preserved when the file is closed and it would be possible to undo such changes the next time the file is opened, even in the case when Finale is exited and reloaded between editing sessions.
