IWBNI it were possible to move the position of a given accidental vertically. As it is now, accidentals may be moved horizontally by using the accidental mover special tool. The vertical position of all accidentals of a given type (e.g. all sharps) may be changed by editing the appropriate font character using a font editor such as Fontographer.

This could be used, for example to provide space for other objects such as a glissando or to place an editorial accidental above the staff and affected note in a modern edition of an early music score.

This feature could be implemented by allowing the up and down arrow keys to be used with the accidental mover special tool to move a selected accidental up or down.
