IWBNI all functions that operate on selected regions could be performed from any tool for which a region may be selected.

This could be implemented by grouping all such functions under a new main menu item called Utilities. Submenus could be used as needed under this menu to group related functions.

For example, the menu item MassEdit>Fit Music could be moved to Utilities>Fit Music. If a region is not selected this menu item could be disabled. If a region is selected while using, for example the staff tool, time signature tool, measure tool, MIDI tool, mass mover tool or key signature tool, one could select the menu item Fit Music or use the shortcut key Ctrl/Cmd+M.

• MassEdit>Change>{Key, Time, Articulation Assignments, Chord Assignments, Note-attached Expression Assignments, Ties, Tuplets, Note Durations, Noteheads, Note Size}
• MassEdit>Utilities>{Check Accidentals, Check Elapsed Time, Check Ties, Convert Mirrors, Explode Music, Fill with Rests, Freeze Stems Up, Freeze Stems Down, Implode Music, Remove Stem Changes, Respell Notes}
