Save Dialog Box States at Exit
IWBNI it were possible to specify that the states of all dialog boxes
should be saved when Finale is closed so that these states may be automatically
loaded in the next session.
For example, dialog box states that could be saved at exit could include
the following:
-
Save whether or not a given dialog box is expanded. This would apply to
dialog boxes such as Time Signature, Text Expression Designer,
Shape Expression Designer or Playback Controls that contain
a button to expand the dialog box to display additional options. As it
is now, all such dialog boxes are initially displayed in a contracted state.
-
Save the type of Measure Region that is selected on the Time
Signature dialog box. As it is now, Measure n Through End of Piece
is initially selected. This also applies to the Key Signature and
Change Clef dialog boxes though in the case of the Change Clef
dialog box, Measure m Through n is initially selected.
-
Save the settings for Transposition Options on the Key Signature
dialog box. As it is now, Transpose Notes Up is initially selected.
-
Save the Type and TIFF Resolution on the Export Selection
dialog box. As it is now, Type is initially set to EPS and TIFF
Resolution is initially set to 72.
-
Save the state of the Show>Grid menu item in the Shape
Designer dialog box that specifies whether or not the grid is to be
shown. As it is now, the grid is initially hidden.
-
Save the type of expressions (i.e. Text or Shape) that are
to be displayed when the Expression Selection dialog box is displayed.
Initially, Text is selected.
This feature could be implemented by adding the following checkboxes
to the Program Options dialog box:
----------------------------------
Program Options
[ ] Save Dialog States At Exit
[ ] Load Dialog States At Startup
