IWBNI there were placement options like those for smart shape slurs and the tab slide for the placement of clef, key, cancelled key, time and music. The possible sequences of such elements could be listed and one could be allowed to space each sequence as needed. For each sequence, there would be 2 groups of settings; one for the first measure of every system and the other for all other measures. And, as in the Smart Shape Placement dialog box, one could drag these elements to space them as needed for each case.

The list of possible sequences could include the following items:
